From the Midwest to West Africa

St. Louis native living in Burkina Faso

About Me

Hey! Bonjour! Nye Beeogo!

My name is Victor, and I am a current Peace Corps volunteer in Burkina Faso.

I was born in Honduras, but raised in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

My mom was a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras, where she met my dad – and boom my siblings and I were born!

I am a Mizzou or University of Missouri alum. I studied Biology with a minor in Anthropology.

I’ve been a Peace Corps volunteer since January 2015, as a Community Health Development Agent. My site was originally Nebrou, Ziro province of Burkina Faso.

Now I live in Bobo-Dioulasso, Houet province of BF. I still am a Peace Corps health volunteer, but I am a third year volunteer with EngenderHealth. As a third year, I work at the West African Health Organization as a consultant.
